The NXT-308 is a prototype freighter designed to move supplies between Earth and its many colonies. The U.S.S. Prometheus was given its name after the test run to the Alpha-Centauri system. This is the only freighter class capable of out-running the Predator and does not need to be escorted by Stratos fighters. Due to the success of the U.S.S.
